16 days of activism to end VAW in Ireland

This is our first year of Take Back the Tech UK. We're learning a lot as we move through the 16 days, about women's organisations in the UK, and how they're using ICTS in their work.

We've already had a few enquiries from women's groups in the UK who'd like to get involved in next year's campaign, or sharing information about actions they're taking during the 16 days - and one very inspiring initiative comes from
WomensAid Ireland.

Two activities we're highlighting here are:

16 Days Activities, Actions, Comment with the Irish 16 Days Blog

and the 16 FACTS FOR 16 DAYS E-mail Campaign

The 16 Facts for 16 Days E-mail campaign aims to highlight the issue of Violence Against Women, during the 16 Days of Action. The campaign is targeted at opinion leaders in Ireland, including politicians, the media and trade unions.

Each day of the 16 Days Campaign, statistics relating to Violence against women, in Ireland, in Europe and internationally are distributed by e-mail.
